Office of Media Communications and Marketing personnel are proud of their responsive, 24-hour-a-day service to members of the media. In addition to serving as media representatives, OMCM members write and publish a bi-monthly newsletter, write, shoot and edit a bi-monthly cable television program, produce public service announcements and public safety related educational materials, prepare speeches and correspondence for officials, and respond to thousands of phone and email inquiries. OMCM personnel also plan and produce several annual events, including the Maryland State Police Fallen Heroes Ceremony, Flag Day Ceremony, Salute to Heroes Ceremony and the MSP Winter Water Series for Special Olympics which includes the Shiver in the River, the Polar Bear Plunge and the Deep Creek Dunk.
