Driving Directions

From the North:  Take US 13 Southbound.  Turn left onto Dagsboro Road.  Turn right into the barrack parking lot.

From the South:  Take US 13 Northbound.  Turn right into the barrack parking lot which is just south of the Dagsboro Road intersection.

From the East:  Take US 50 Westbound.  Continue on the Salisbury Bypass and merge onto US 13 Northbound.  Turn right into the barrack parking lot which is just south of the Dagsboro Road intersection.

From the West:  Take US 50 Eastbound.  Continue on the Salisbury Bypass and merge onto US 13 Southbound.  Turn right into the barrack parking lot which is just south of the Dagsboro Road intersection.

New Child Safety Seat Law to Take Effect - Monday, October 01, 2012

Troopers at the Salisbury Barrack are reminding motorists who transport children of a change in the child safety seat law about to take effect.



On October 1, 2012, changes to the Maryland child safety seat law will go into effect that will now require children under eight years of age to be in a child safety seat, unless they are 4 feet 9 inches or taller. This change removes the weight exemption of children weighing more than 65 pounds who could previously be transported in a motor vehicle without a child safety seat.

New Non-Functioning Traffic Light Law to Take Effect - Monday, October 01, 2012

Troopers at the Salisbury Barrack would like to remind motorists of a new law about to take effect regarding actions drivers must take when approaching intersections with non-functioning traffic signals.

Beginning October 1, 2012, a driver approaching a non-functioning traffic control signal from any direction at an intersection shall stop:

-at a clearly marked stop line;

-before entering any crosswalk; or

-before entering the intersection.

After stopping, the driver must:

-yield to any vehicle or pedestrian in the intersection; and

-remain stopped until it is safe to enter and continue through the intersection.

New Motor Scooter and Moped Law to Take Effect - Monday, October 01, 2012

Troopers from the Salisbury Barrack are reminding the owners and riders of motor scooters and mopeds that a new law taking effect in less than two months will make significant changes in the use of their chosen form of transportation.

On October 1, 2012, new Maryland vehicle laws will take effect that require all motor scooters and mopeds to be titled and insured, while all operators and passengers must wear a helmet and eye protection. These new requirements are in addition to the existing law that requires all motor scooter and moped operators to possess a valid driver’s license or a moped operator’s permit.

FINGERPRINTING SERVICES HAS BEEN TEMPORARILY DISCONTINUED--PLEASE REFER TO THE POSTED PRESS RELEASE UNDER THE "MEDIA" SECTION.

Wed. 11:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.

In order to have a "background check" or "police clearance" completed by the Maryland State Police, you must appear in person at a Maryland State Police Barrack. At that time you must present a valid, government-issued, photo identification and a check or money order for $5.00 for each fingerprint card required (usually two are required). You will then have your fingerprints taken and those fingerprints will be checked against state and local databases. You will receive a response to our inquiry within a few weeks.
