Barrack S - Centreville

The Maryland State Police – Centreville Barrack is located on US Route 301 north of MD Route 304 in Queen Anne’s County Maryland.  The barrack is comprised of patrol Troopers, investigators, command staff and civilian personnel who serve the citizens of Kent and Queen Anne’s County Maryland.  Troopers are responsible for both traffic and criminal enforcement derived from calls for service throughout both counties of responsibility.  The barrack currently houses personnel from the Homicide Unit, Cold Case Homicide Unit, Forensic Services Unit, CRASH Team, and Recruiting Unit. The State Police Detachment in Chestertown MD currently houses Kent Bureau of Investigation detectives from the Maryland State Police, Rock Hall Police Department, and the Chestertown Police Department.

Construction on US RT. 50 @ US RT. 301 - Thursday, September 27, 2012
Redecking and other improvements to the US Route 50 bridge over Route 301 in Queenstown is scheduled to begin on Monday, September 24, 2012 and last until next spring, weather permitting.  The State Highway Administration emphasized that although the construction work needs to be done, the bridge remains structurally safe.  It was also noted that there will be "significant delays for motorists traveling west to the Bay Bridge,"

As always, use caution when traveling through construction zones and adjust your travel schedule's accordingly.

The Maryland State Police does not provide fingerprinting services to the general public. Citizens who require fingerprints for the purpose of obtaining criminal history records and background checks are encouraged to visit the Department of Public Safety and Correctional Services website which contains a large list of fingerprinting services offered by private providers and government agencies that are conveniently spread across the State of Maryland; the website is located at the following web address:
