The mission of the Crisis Negotiation Team (CNT) / Hostage Recovery Team (HRT) is to effectively resolve crisis incidents and provide a disciplined, well trained and well equipped law enforcement support response for the Department and requesting law enforcement agencies. It will be done in a coordinated manner designed to ensure the maximum effectiveness in the use of available personnel and resources, and all reasonable efforts to obtain a non-violent resolution.
