Lieutenant
Krah Plunkeret
Barrack Information: Increased highway interdiction efforts resulted in two large currency seizures of $22,636 and $37,681, and the greater number of vehicle searches has directly affected the amount of CDS arrests, which numbered 348 in 2006. The Somerset Bureau of Investigation, which is housed at the barrack, assisted when a person was reported missing from their residence in April. A suspect was developed, and some time after the body was discovered in June, he was indicted and charged with first degree murder and use of a handgun in a felony.

Traffic enforcement directed towards reducing vehicle crashes paid off. They are down 22%, from 251 in 2005 to 196. DUI checkpoints were conducted with the Somerset Sheriff’s Office and, for the first time, with the municipalities of Princess Anne and Crisfield.
Directions: From US13 South, at the intersection of US13 S and Perry Road, make a right. Barrack is located on the left.
Fingerprinting Info: In order to have a "background check" or "police clearance" completed by the Maryland State Police, you must appear in person at a Maryland State Police Barrack. At that time you must present a valid, government-issued, photo identification and a check or money order for $5.00 for each fingerprint card required (usually two are required). You will then have your fingerprints taken and those fingerprints will be checked against state and local databases. You will receive a response to our inquiry within a few weeks.
