Many Troopers and civilian employees join the Mayland State Police after spending time in the United States Military. Some enlisted for a short time, others graduated from one of the service academies and still others retired after completing a military career. All branches of the military are represented within the ranks of the Maryland State Police.
Many are still active in the National Guard and Reserves. Since 9/11/01, dozens of Troopers and civilian employees have been called to serve their country on active duty. This page was designed to support those members of the Maryland State Police family who are currently serving in the military at home and abroad.
